The Government of Uganda(GoU) has received financing from the International Deve lopment Association (IDA) of the World Bank towards the cost of UgandaEnergy for Rural Transformation Phase III (ERT III), and it i ntends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the contractfor procurement of Design, Supply and Installation of 11kV/33kV lines and associated low voltage networks for grid intensificationunder ERT III (29 Schemes) for batch 1 Umeme Service Territory.2. The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) now invitessealed bids from eligible bidders for construction and completion of th e  11kV/33kV lines and associated low voltage networksfor grid intensification under ERT III (29 Schemes) for batch 1 Umeme Se rvice Territory.3. The Time for Completion of thewhole of the Facilities shall be 24 calendar months from the Effective Da te as described in the Contract Agreement.5.Bidding will be conducted through the  National Competitive Bidding proce dures as specified in the WorldBank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRDLoans and IDA Credits &Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011, Revised July 2014), and is open to all eligiblebidders as defined in theProcurement Guidelines.  In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the WorldBank’s policy onconflict of interest.6. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Rural E lectrification Agency,ERTIII Procurement Specialist, Email: procurement@rea.or.ug and inspect the bidding documents during office h ours, i.e. 08:00 a.m.to 16:00 p.m. (local time), Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the address given below.< p>7. A complete setof bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a wr itten applicationto the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uganda Shillings 300,000/= (Three Hundred Thousan d ShillingsOnly). The method of payment will be cash paid to The REA Accounts Department and obtaining a receipt.8.
